Brilliant Days :-)

So.. Bearwood Promoters first Shuffle of 2019 was a screaming success, it was truly great to be back at the Bandstand in Lightwoods Park for a glorious afternoon of live music from some amazing talent, brilliant workshops, superb food and drink and a wonderful crowd who came along to support.

Thanks to everyone who made this happen, we couldn’t have done it without you. Bedrock Bullets, T8PES, Bryony Williams, The Good Water, Number 57, Wesley Rolston – Poet thanks for coming to perform for us.

Compere Bob Sanderson, Urban Audio Productions for the sound.

Pete Williams, #dalbirsinghrattan and Jez Collins for our workshops.

Food traders Pizza Heaven, Mookies Indian Street Food, @BombBq, and Really Awesome Coffee – Birmingham South and Dig Brew Co for putting on a feast and to all of the stallholders.

Big thanks to Julia, Jon and Tony at Lightwoods House for your constant support and assistance in making this event happen.

Massive thanks to the Bearwood Promoters, a team of serious music nuts (myself included!), who commit so much time and energy to organise these events solely for the reward of making Bearwood, our community, a wonderful place to be. And to New Roots, who’s volunteers give so much support to us.

Finally, to all of you who joined us, I hope that you had a day to remember, and look forward to seeing you with us again in September.

You all Rock

Many Thanks

PS we’ll be curating the music stage at Warley Woods Community Trust’s event ‘Picnic In The Park’ on 7th July

Bearwood Street Festival, 9th June 2019

Two years after the inaugural Street festival, Bearwood High Street hosted the second Bearwood Street Festival, bigger and better than before. A massive volunteer undertaking, with the community coming together from across Bearwood, plus support from funders Arts Council England, Community Fund and Creative Black Country to make this event happen.

On behalf of the organisers We Are Bearwood, Bearwood Promoters curated the music, and put on a host of acts over three stages who played to a packed High Street.

Bearwood Street Festival, Sunday June 9th, 12-6pm

PROGRAMME

What’s happening when and where

We hope you’ll love Bearwood designer Tom Bennett’s programme just as much as we do! He’s had to pack so much into this – because we’ve got so much awesome stuff going on for you!

We are trying to cut down on waste at this festival so rather than printing thousands and thousands of programmes, we’re going to have this big image posted up all across the festival site – so take a good look now, download it to your phone and then check it out in the flesh on the day.
